This archived list of beers is the ultimate showcase of our experimental growth and brewing journey. Since the beginning of Faculty in 2016, we've come a long way! Just because a beer is archived doesn't mean we'll never make it again, but as a small brewery, we can only have up to eight beers on the go at once.

LAGER, 20 IBU
Our most approachable beer takes you back to the basics. This lager is crisp and fresh with pleasant herbal, earthy and floral overtones from the Saaz hops.

103 PETITE PILSNER
LEICHTBIER,
25 IBU
A Leichtbier is a German-style light lager with a low ABV% and body while maintaining substantial crackery European malt character and zesty, earthy hop character.
​
105 PATAGONIA LAGER
LAGER, 25 IBU
Our first lager is brewed with malt from Patagonia, Chile. This crisp and fresh lager is typical, with pleasant herbal, earthy, and floral overtones from the Saaz hops.  
​
107 BLONDE
BLONDE ALE, 20 IBU
This easy-drinking blonde is crisp and refreshing with a creamy head and a sweet finish.

110 KOLSH
KOLSH, 20 IBU
Kölsch is a German beer style that's light and crisp, similar to a lager, fermented with a strain of ale-type yeast originating in Cologne.

116 BC TO BC WEST COAST LAGER

DRY-HOPPED LAGER COLLABORATION WITH ALIMENTARIA MEXICANA, 25 IBU

This refreshing Kolsch has a delicate fruit and sweet aroma from the lagering stage of the German Ale Yeast.

PILSNER, 33 IBU
Our take on the Czech Pilsner. Subtle earthy and citrus notes from the Sterling hops.

133 MANGO PARTY CREAM ALE
CREAM ALE, 22 IBU
Smooth and crushable cream ale infused with Wize Coffee's Mango Party Coffee Leaf Tea. It has aromas of mango and citrus notes from Mandarin Bavaria hop.
 
183 SMASH COLLAB WITH DOAN'S
SINGLE MALT SINGLE HOP WITH WET CASCADE, 45 IBU
1830 Ontario Street & 1830 Powell Street collaboration. A crushable and quenching mouthfeel, floral & citrusy aroma balanced with a malty backbone.

187 OKTOBERFESTBIER
FESTBIER/ GOLDEN LAGER, 25 IBU
This golden German-style lager is inspired by beers consumed in one-litre steins in Munich during the first couple weeks of September. 
​
196 RED LAGER
AMBER LAGER, 18 IBU
This refreshing lager boasts delicious, malty flavours with a hint of caramel. Floral hop notes and mild bitterness balance out this beer, resulting in a straightforward red lager drinking experience.

222 FIR TIP PALE ALE
ENGLISH-STYLE PALE ALE WITH FIR TIPS, 12 IBU
This collaboration with Mayne Island Brewing is a super fresh, pale ale that celebrates the terroir of the Pacific Northwest.

231 BLACKCURRANT FRUITED ALE
FRUITED ALE, 10 IBU
This beer showcases one of BC's native fruits. The result is an intensely red-purple hue with a grape-candy-like aroma and a tart finish.

241 MINZEWEIZEN
MINT HEFEWEIZEN, 09 IBU
This hazy wheat beer is brewed with peppermint tea, giving it a refreshing taste and a smooth finish.
​
252 TALUS & IDAHO 7
AMERICAN PALE ALE, 15 IBU
This American Pale Ale is light and refreshing. It is brewed with a single-malt base of Canadian two-row barley malt, on which we are showcasing two unique hop varieties: Talus and Idaho 7.

257 SAKURA SAISON
LIGHT SAISON WITH HIBISCUS & ORANGE BLOSSOM, 0 IBU
This beer was inspired by Vancouver’s annual spring bloom of Sakura. We use pilsner malt and flaked corn to create a super light base upon which we layer a touch of hibiscus for an iconic pink blush.

297 HIMALAYAN AMBER ALE
TEA-INFUSED AMBER ALE, 25 IBU 
This Amber Ale, brewed with Tibetan tea, is made in collaboration with O5. The brew's caramel, biscuit, and citrus notes blend perfectly with fruity, earthy, and woody notes from Tibetan tea. 
 
305 SAISON
FRENCH SAISON, 21 IBU
This hazy brew showcases the delicious and complex flavours of Fermentis BE 134 yeast. Golding hops provide flowery notes, and wheat and Münich malt lend fruit and spice aromas.

314 GINGER SAISON
FRENCH SAISON + GINGER, 21 IBU
A French-style saison with notes of clove complemented by local, fresh-pressed ginger juice. A spicy twist on this classic style.  
 
323 SOURWEISSE
SOUR WHEAT ALE, 16 IBU
This is our version of a Berliner Weise with a little more punch. This beer is a kettle-soured wheat ale with a pleasant tartness and notes of citrus.

325 TABLE BEER
BELGIAN-STYLE TABLE BEER,
14 IBU
They are fermented on crushed coriander and mandarin juice using a yeast strain originating from a Belgian Trappist monastery. Citrus, clove, and bubblegum aromas mingle perfectly with a light and spritzy body.
​
333 DOK ANCHAN
SOUR WHEAT ALE WITH FLOWERS, 16 IBU
Dok Anchan, also known as the Butterfly Pea Flower, is native to Thailand and famous for its vibrant blue
colour. When steeped, it gives off an electric blue colour that gradually turns pink with increased
acidity.

340 DUNKELWEIZEN
DARK WHEAT ALE, 17 IBU
A mahogany-coloured Weizen beer with fruit-forward aromas and light caramel notes.
​
356 RASPBERRY LEMON SOURWEISSE
SOUR WHEAT ALE WITH FRUIT, 16 IBU
Our 323 Sourweisse with added raspberries and lemon. This beer is a kettle-soured wheat ale with a balanced sweet and tart profile. 
​
358 CRANBERRY ORANGE ZEST SOURWEISSE
SOUR WHEAT ALE WITH FRUIT, 16 IBU
We took our Kettle Soured Wheat Ale and blended in cranberry puree and fresh orange zest.
​
366 FRESH HOP CASCADE SOUR

FRESH-HOPPED SOUR, 09 IBU

The fresh Cascade brings an aroma of citrus and lychee along with subtle floral notes. This fresh hop sour has that delicious, refreshing feel in abundance.

368 DARK LAGER
CZECH-STYLE DARK LAGER, 22 IBU
Fermented cold using Escarpment Premium Pils yeast, our black lager is crisp, black, and crushable. It has flavors of roasted coffee and toasty malt, as well as an earthy herbal nose from Czech Saaz hops.
​
378 WILD SMASH
SINGLE MALT SINGLE HOP ALE, 28 IBU
Our SMaSH is a perfect marriage of Golden Promise malt, Cascade hops, and a little Sacch Trois to keep things funky.

379 WET + WILD SMASH
SINGLE MALT SINGLE HOP ALE, 18 IBU
Our SMaSH is a perfect marriage of Golden Promise malt with wet hop Cascade, and a little Sacch Trois to keep things funky.

390 BEYOND THE BINARY ESB
HOPPY ESB, 10 IBU
To International Women's Day, we brewed this dry-hopped ESB, as a collab with friends visiting from Slow Hand, Electric Bicycle and 33 Acres.

396 CENTENNIAL RED ALE

RED ALE WITH WEST COAST HOPS, 40 IBU 

(*PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS 516 CENTENNIAL ESB)

The Double Roasted Caramel malt gives this beer a full body and toffee flavour. Fresh Centennial lends an aroma of a forest right after it rains.

402 RYE S.A.
RYE ISA, 41 IBU
ISA is a sessionable version of its "big brother", the IPA. We added rye malt in our ISA recipe to add a subtle note of spice and body to the beer.

405 CASHMERE PALE ALE 
SINGLE-HOPPED PALE ALE, 40 IBU
Part of our single-hopped series, this pale ale showcases Cashmere hops with aromas of mango and mandarin orange.
 
415 WEST COAST PALE ALE
WEST COAST PALE ALE, 40 IBU
The Cascade and Citra hops used in the dry hopping process create subtle pine and grapefruit aromas.

418 CITRA PALE ALE 
PALE ALE, 40 IBU
Dry-hopped with Citra, this smooth pale ale showcases the strong citrus and tropical fruit aromas this popular West Coast hop.
 
419 CENTENNIAL PALE ALE
SINGLE-HOPPED PALE ALE, 40 IBU
This is the first in our series of single-hopped pale ales. Centennial hops offer a unique balance of floral and citrus.
 
421 CASCADE PALE ALE 

PALE ALE, 40 IBU

Part of our single hopped series, this pale ale showcases Cascade hops with a unique floral, spicy and citrus character.

422 FRESH HOP CASHMERE PALE ALE

FRESH-HOPPED PALE ALE, 23 IBU

Our 422 Fresh Hop Cashmere Pale Ale is packed with tropical fruit aromas of mango and pineapple.

 

430 BELGIAN PALE ALE

PALE ALE, 27 IBU

Belgian style ale with orange peel and coriander for a spicy bite. Dry hopped with Cashmere which gives a smooth mandarin aroma.

 

435 AMARILLO HAZY PALE ALE

HAZY PALE ALE, 41 IBU

Inspired by the Spanish word for yellow, we created a bright, hazy, and refreshing pale ale. Dry-hopped with Amarillo, this beer packs a punch of peach, mango, and apricot.

444 NEW ENGLAND IPA

NEW ENGLAND IPA, 15 IBU

Mosaic hops lend hoppy mango, papaya and citrus aromas, in tandem with thiol-based aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and passion fruit derived from a proprietary yeast strain.

449 ENGLISH BROWN ALE

BROWN ALE, 30 IBU

A sweet brown ale with citrus and pine notes from the Chinook hops. Delicate malty and toffee flavours from Crystal and CaraRed Malt.

488 TART PALE ALE

TART PALE ALE, 37 IBU

This beer combines the delicious aromas from a West Coast pale with a hint of tartness from a kettle sour. Citrus, tropical, and floral notes from the generous additions of Falconer's Flight hop blend is complemented by light malt flavours and a refreshing, tart finish.

 
495 WEST COAST RYE ALE

RYE ALE WITH UBC HOPS, 60 IBU

This ale is brewed with wet hops from UBC Farm. The rye malt adds a bite that balances the earthiness from the wet hops.

505 HOP HASH WHITE IPA

WHITE IPA DRY-HOPPED WITH HOP HASH, 64 IBU

This experimental brew was dry-hopped with hop hash (Amarillo/Mosaic) from Chilliwack Hop Farms. This wheat beer goes down smooth with aromas of citrus from the hash.

599 COLD BREW ESB

ESB WITH MILANO COFFEE ROASTERS' CAFE M COLD BREW, 21 IBU

An extra special bitter with a balance of caramel and pine, perfectly blended with Milano Coffee Roasters' Café M Cold Brew coffee.

612 COFFEE SCHWARZBIER

SCHWARZBIER WITH ROASTED COFFEE, 20 IBU

A schwarzbier is a dark German lager that balances roasted yet smooth malt flavours with moderate hop bitterness.

635 FRESH HOP STOUT

FRESH HOPPED DRY STOUT, 48 IBU

This beer's dry stout base allows the fresh hops to shine. The aroma consists of coffee, herbal and roasted notes.

699 EARL GREY ALE

TEA-INFUSED STRONG ALE, 61 IBU

This strong ale is infused with Earl Grey tea, giving the beer a bergamot aroma complemented with matching hops that gives the beer a bitter bite. 

720 BLACK CURRANT SOUR BRUT IPA
SOUR CHAMPAGNE STYLE INDIA PALE ALE, 50 IBU
This collaboration with Coast Mountain is a fusion of kettle sour and a Brut IPA with the addition of black currant puree.


729 BRUT IPA
CHAMPAGNE STYLE INDIA PALE ALE, 50 IBU
Named after its similar qualities to Champagne, the Brut IPA is super dry with high carbonation. Expect a crisp, light-bodied mouthfeel with subtle hints of citrus zest on the palate and aromas of stone fruit.
 
778 IPA
INDIA PALE ALE, 55 IBU
A balanced IPA with aromas of citrus, mango, and guava. We hopped this beer with three West Coast favorites: Citra, Centennial, and Cascade 

802 TRIPEL
STRONG GOLDEN ALE, 43 IBU
This strong golden ale has fruity and herbal notes from the Nugget and Golding hops. It has a light malty profile with complex fruity yeast flavours.

898 IMPERIAL COOKIE STOUT

PASTRY STOUT, 17 IBU

Our Pastry Stout has a high ABV combined with a little sweetness. This is very much a dessert stout with caramel malt, vanilla, and cocoa nib, inspired by cookies.

901 THE GRADUATE SERIES:


BENIFUKI DUBBEL
TEA-INFUSED DUBBEL, 09 IBU
The average bachelor’s degree takes 4 years; to celebrate our 4th birthday we launched The Graduate Series. Benifuki Dubbel is a bottle-conditioned beer and the first in this series.

BRETT SAISON
BOTTLE-CONDITIONED SAISON, 20 IBU
This Saison is a farmhouse style that we hopped with Nelson Sauvin and bottle-conditioned with Brett. We let this brew age for three months to give us some funky and complex flavours.

TRIPEL
BOTTLE-CONDITIONED TRIPEL, 24 IBU
As the third release in The Graduate Series, our Tripel is packed with big aromas and flavours that round out this high ABV brew. A balance of malt and caramel notes, with plenty of fruit and phenolics gives this beer a rich robust flavour.

904 IMPERIAL COOKIE STOUT
IMPERIAL PASTRY STOUT, 17 IBU
Our Pastry Stout has a high ABV combined with a little sweetness. Unlike most pastry stouts, this does not contain lactose, making it completely vegan.
