LIGHT SAISON WITH HIBISCUS & ORANGE BLOSSOM

A saison is a traditional Belgian farmhouse ale that is dry and highly carbonated. It is often likened to champagne in its qualities.

This beer was inspired by Vancouver’s annual spring bloom of Sakura. We use pilsner malt and flaked corn to create a super light base upon which we layer a touch of hibiscus for an iconic pink blush. Jasmine green tea and a smidge of rosewater combine with an expressive hybrid saison yeast strain to generate a lovely bouquet of honeyed floral aromas.
