Finding Joy in Simple Things - Practicing Mindfulness with Beer & Kombucha

On 25th Oct at Faculty, join us for a one of a kind event combining our favourite brews with a mindfulness workshop led by Eman Salem & Chris Tickell from IronSelf & Rethos coaching.

Now more than ever, it's important to find joy in everyday activities. Eman & Chris will guide us through a 20 minute mindfulness meditation (using beer to spark joy!) Afterwards they'll lead a 40 min group discussion on how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday activities & how it can be used to bring more joy into our lives.

We will also have Jacquie, our Faculty Brewer, talk through our different beers, how they are brewed, flavour notes and where we source our ingredients.

This event is fully seated within the Faculty Brewing Co. bar. This venue offers wheelchair accessible seating, gender-neutral bathrooms and no stairs.

Choose from a 500ml glass of kombucha or a flight of three Faculty beers and one Oddity Kombucha. This is included in the price of a ticket.

$2 from each ticket sold will be donated to Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention Centre of BC, a 24/7 helpline for crises and training surrounding mental health and suicide prevention. Get your tickets on Eventbrite. This is intended as a self-discovery exercise with mindfulness tools and advice that you can incorporate & use in day to day life to help increase mental wellbeing. This is not a form of group therapy nor are Eman & Chris licensed therapists. Mental health is a serious issue affecting 1 in 4 Canadians and we believe it is of the utmost importance to help people find the right resources in times of need.
