New-York style, handmade pastrami piled on fresh rye. A cold glass of craft beer. Sounds like the perfect combo, right?
Mensch. Jewish Delicatessen comes to Faculty Brewing on November 9th, serving up their delicious pastrami sandwiches. Chef Nitzan Cohen is the only guy in the city making his pastrami from scratch, a process that takes a long time, but is definitely worth it. This involves 8 hours of smoking, 10 days of brining, and four hours of steaming. Finally, it is hand-sliced for customers and stacked on top of fresh rye bread with mustard. It doesn't get much better than this, folks!
Mensch opened a lunch-only pop-up shop at Fraser & Broadway this summer before deciding to stay permanently. Their food has been hailed for its great quality and authenticity. We're so excited to have them over here in Mount Pleasant for a rare dinnertime event!
We'll start serving pastrami sandwiches at 6pm and go 'til they're gone. Come say hi!
